Biao Yin works on large-scale agent-based transport simulations (MATSim) for mobility studies in the Île-de-France (Greater Paris) region. This means that he studies the environmental impacts of urban access regulation and micro-mobility (scooters, bicycles, electric scooters, etc.) on a neighbourhood level.
His work focuses on the simulation of activities and movements of agents (people and vehicles) in accordance with transport management policies. He also takes a keen interest in data science for mobility analysis, traffic regulation and an integrated modelling of land and transport use.

Tramway is among transport services that are analysed

Practitioner group
Vegetated tramway
Research work on mobility at the neighbourhood level focuses on the development of environmental impact assessment methods that make it possible to better plan the offer of mobility services in the broad sense
