Patrick Stella holds a doctorate in Environmental Sciences and is a senior lecturer in bioclimatology at AgroParisTech. His research focuses on the relationships between urban and peri-urban environments in terms of thermal exchanges and gaseous pollution, the effect of vegetated surfaces on microclimate and air quality, and the effect of atmospheric conditions on the functioning of agroecosystems.
Reconciling nature and the city, a highly artificial environment, is an art that is practised from the scale of the building to that of the suburban territory, including that of the neighbourhood.
