Erwan Personne is a senior lecturer and environmental-science researcher at UMR ECOSYS since 1998. He has published work on the soil-plant-atmosphere continuum and on the emission and deposition of atmospheric pollutants (ammonia, pesticides, ozone) in connection with agro- and ecosystems. He developed the SurfAtm model on the transfer of energy and pollutants between soil, plants and the atmosphere. He is one of the designers of measurement instruments such as the “ROSAA” for measuring ammonia fluxes. He heads the master's programme in Agrosciences, Environment, Territories, Landscape and Forest at Université Paris-Saclay.
Reconciling nature and the city, a highly artificial environment, is an art that is practised from the scale of the building to that of the suburban territory, including that of the neighbourhood.
