Aneta's thesis focuses on stormwater management in urban environments and on the role of vegetation in mitigating urban heat-island effects. Her approach aims to better understand the interactions between water, vegetation and the built environment, where water and energy conditions are strongly modified. Within this framework, she intends to develop a water-balance model adapted to urban specificities, which will progressively be compared with field observations in order to assess its relevance.
Reconciling nature and the city, a highly artificial environment, is an art that is practised from the scale of the building to that of the suburban territory, including that of the neighbourhood.
