Building on the reuse-potential indicator developed in Ambroise Lachat's thesis, Inès is investigating ways to facilitate reuse. This involves calibrating the indicator, assessing the potential of objects intended for reuse, and characterising the residual properties of elements after removal or deconstruction.
Life-cycle assessment is a method to assess the environmental impacts of buildings and infrastructures throughout their life cycle, from the extraction of raw materials through to their end-of-lifetime handling.
